Brunner Wedding

Scott and Noelia Brunner were married August 1, 2009. Through a mutual friend, I was set up to shoot their wedding in Cincinnati, Ohio.

It's hard to describe the difference families and personalities can make when shooting a wedding, but both Noelia and Scott's family were just awesome to work with. They were aware I was in the middle of my second trimester when shooting their big day and consistetly made sure I was the one who was comfortable, hydrated, and feeling good. I wasn't the one getting married and here they were, very gracious and thoughtful, in trying to make things comfortable for me.

Photographing Noelia is like photographing a blooming and full lily in the thrust of spring -- you just can't shoot it wrong. At every angle, she looked amazingly alive and alluring. Scott's personality just pops in the photos. In the sequence of their pictures, one can witness his sincerity, kind regard for others, and humor. When a couple has that kind of chemistry and those kind of individual qualities and strengths, the camera (and photographer) need not work as hard to make a moment look like a moment. It happens frequently and naturally.

Both families were just a joy to work with and photograph. Their ceremony, in Hamilton, was in a beautiful church with wonderful light which made it easier for me to work.

The reception, held at Malloy's on the Green, was a beautiful backdrop to their celebration. It's rare to see the bride and groom so visibly in love and not afraid to show off their dance moves. Scott and Noelia are a very special couple with a gorgeous future unfolding before them.

My best to the Brunners and to their families! Congratulations Noelia and Scott!
